f you think you'd like to volunteer in the classroom, in the school, or attend a field trip with your student's class, the PTA recommends pursuing your background check and fingerprinting now. It will be required by the school and district to enter the building as a volunteer or chaperone a field trip. The cost is $56 but it's good for five years of clearance.
