1. Background Checks for Volunteering
   If you think you'd like to volunteer in the classroom, in the school, or attend a field trip with your student's class, I recommend pursuing your background check and fingerprinting now. It will be required by the school and district to enter the building as a volunteer or chaperone a field trip. The cost is $56 but it's good for five years of clearance.
    

2. Import the school calendar
   Embed the school calendar and never miss an important event! Simply go to the PTA website's calendar page and click on the "Add to Google Calendar" link in the bottom, left corner. This will allow you to import all events on the school calendar directly into yours.

    

3. Ways to stay informed!
   Important information will always come through to you via email, but other good resources are:
   
   Infinite Campus
   Your student information center, this portal hosts your student’s information, teacher assignment (published the Friday before school starts), report cards, and is where you report absences.
   
   CCE website
   The official school site hosts a calendar that will include every confirmed school-related function whether it be operational and/or social.
   
   Coal Creek PTA website
   Your resource for all information for parents by parents!
   
   Coal Creek PTA Facebook page
   A repeat of all important information you may get from the school but also a place to pose questions to the greater parent/school community.
